This is my account of moving from Chicago to LA. The primary audience is my parents, so I have self-edited these experiences as needed.

Utah Screenwriters Lab

So I was fortunate enough to spend the first few days of my Sundance trip at out Screenwriters Lab at the Resort. Attached are some pics of the Fellows (from everywhere -Brazil, China, Israel, etc.) There were some amazing people - One of the fellows, Alicia Erian, wrote the novel Towelhead, which was turned into a movie that played at the Festival this year and one of the fellows was blind and writing a script about losing his sight. I also got to see Thomas Vinterberg's THE CELEBRATION for the first time (with Q&A after the film by the hunky and talented Mr. Vinterberg himself.) Nights were spent at the cozy Owl Bar. Days were spent at the Resort interacting with Fellows and accompanying a journalist writing a piece on the Lab. One day I found myself next to Jason Reitman (director of JUNO) in the lunch line. What a nice and talented guy - he agreed to do a press conference for us at the Festival on the spot.

Attached are some pics of the Fellows, of Mike, Bird and Owl at the Owl Bar, with Erin outside our "office" at the Resort and general Resort atmosphere.

Thank you thank you thank you for the update!!! I bet you're glad to be back though, in sunny LA. Well, we miss you. And I will have to see Spider now.
